Earth Zero 1 brings together the changes we are making across product design, manufacturing, repairs, packaging and day-to-day operations.
It is an ongoing commitment, not a finished destination. We are focused on practical improvements that reduce our impact while protecting the safety, performance and durability our customers depend on.

We are reviewing packaging throughout our range, reducing unnecessary material and choosing more recyclable options where possible.

Keeping valuable material in use

Working with Biffa has helped us divert all collected business waste from landfill. Materials that can be recycled are separated, while suitable residual waste is directed to energy recovery.
We also separate specialist materials such as CO₂ cylinders and brass zips. Where clean surplus fabric can be useful elsewhere, we look for responsible routes to keep it in use.
Energy recovery is reported separately from recycling. Figures reflect Typhoon’s internal records and should be reviewed as reporting develops.

Built to stay in use
Repair, service and recover
Durable products are only part of the picture. Our repair and service capability can help extend product life, reduce avoidable replacement and keep customers equipped for longer.
Where products cannot be repaired, suitable components (including zips, socks and fastenings) may be recovered for use in future repairs.

We work with suppliers to understand material choices, manufacturing standards and opportunities for improvement. Where suitable, this includes sourcing from bluesign® approved suppliers and exploring materials with a lower environmental impact.
Safety and performance remain essential. New materials and processes must meet the demands placed on Typhoon products before they can be adopted.
