Sylvie has always been passionate about nature and outdoor sports. She started sea kayaking in 2007 and together with her husband Dimitri, she founded the NORTHSEAKAYAK team to unite like-minded paddlers. Sylvie is involved in a range of activities such as offshore trips, surfing and most of all: training on rescue techniques.
Behind the scenes, she’s also a very busy bee! Armed with her camera, she manages to capture the sea kayak vibe and share it all over the world.
Her goal as NORTHSEAKAYAK’s front woman is to encourage other women into the sport and to push their limits, to share the spirit with many other paddlers on the annual Sea Kayak Training Camps and Training Days she’s helps organising and supporting with her husband. Besides that, she loves travelling to other places and seas with her sea kayak on the roof of their car! Ever paddled with the NORTHSEAKAYAK team? Then you should have heard Sylvie’s laughter! Besides front woman and support, she’s also the clown of the gang, making sure that everyone’s having a good time!
Specific to TYPHOON, she’s instrumental in the development and testing of all female equipment, giving feedback and insight to keep improving equipment, clothing, and other apparel.
